Our Anniversary, Kerry's Birthday & Beth's Birthday at Soho House

Okay...so after a long time of silence, the blogging continues. There are
three new albums up, the first is of our first year anniversary that we had two
weekends ago. I surprised Kerry by taking her up to Columbus for a hot air
balloon ride. It was an awesome experience and we couldn't have asked for
a more beautiful day. We took off at sunrise and had a 45 min flight in the
quiet skies just East of Columbus. Kerry nearly died when she finally figured
out what we were up to. It took a little persuasion but she finally hopped
in and once we were up there wasn't much choice for her other then to hold on tight
(which she did) and enjoy the flight.
It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks for us socially (aren't we the little socialites)
and last weekend we celebrated Kerry's birthday in true South African style.
The celebrations started on Friday night with Spring Fling
which led into a surprise birthday dinner organized by her friends and then an awesome
day chilling by the pool at home on Sunday. The pics unfortunately do not
include Spring Fling as my dear wife managed to lose grip on the camera at some
point in the evening which caused irreparable damage to the memory card. A
nearly full 256MB card completely trashed. Based on how I felt on Saturday
morning I can only presume we had a good
time. Maybe they were never meant
to go public.
The last set is from last night. We surprised Beth (yes I know...another surprise!)
with a dinner at a Japanese restaurant in West Chester called Soho House.
As you will see from the photos we had reserved a private room in the place where
we all sat around a table in true Oriental style. The floor under the table
was lowered which meant we didn't have to do the endure the whole thing cross legged.
Beth's actual birthday is on Tuesday next week so I'm sure there will be more celebratory
pics up here soon. You may even be lucky enough to get another wonderful story
from me.

Well, we had about 3-4 inches of snow today. The most we have ever seen
in Cincinnati so far. This allowed for the snowman we attempted today.
It started out pretty well but as we grew nearer to the top, the shape started shifting
and we ended up with a snow cat instead of a snow man. Oh well, it was something.
Unfortunately some of our neighbours didn't feel the same love and thus we woke
up with our snow kitten minus one head.
